Aqua Publica Europea (APE, www.aquapublica.eu) and EBC Foundation have decided to collaborate on benchmarking and the exchange of knowledge and good practices.
APE is a membership organisation representing the interests of public water operators in Brussels; the association unites some 50 organisations from around Europe. One of the goals of APE is to facilitate the exchange of good practices among its members. Because APE does not intend to invent the wheel again and several of their members are already involved in EBC’s benchmarking activities, APE has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with EBC to collaborate in the area of benchmarking and improving water services. EBC will share knowledge and experiences with APE’s Working Group on Performance, while APE will promote participation in EBC’s benchmarking exercises among its members. The collaboration applies for three years and will be evaluated annually.
