The European Benchmarking Co-operation (EBC Foundation) assists drinking water- & wastewater utilities in improving their services through benchmarking and knowledge exchanges.
EBC Foundation was initiated in 2005 by Dutch- & Nordic water utility associations & the 6-Cities Group and is structured as a not-for-profit foundation under Dutch law.
EBC Foundation is based in The Hague, The Netherlands and governed by a Board composed of representatives from the water industry: water utility Aquanet (Poland), water utility associations FIWA (Finland), Norsk Vann (Norway) and Vewin (The Netherlands) and the European federation of national water utility associations, EurEau.
Since 2007, some 250 unique utilities from more than 45 different countries have participated in the benchmarking programme.
Next to its European core programme, EBC supports regional benchmarking activities in close collaboration with local partners, as well as Water Operator Partnerships (WOPs) with a benchmarking component.
