The 2022 benchmarking exercise (IB2021) so far has attracted 47 water utilities, which is about 15% more participants than in the year 2021. Data collection is in full swing.

Now the corona pandemic has somewhat faded into the background, resources become available again at water utilities to work on improvement and innovation of water services.
This year’s benchmarking exercise IB2021 so far has attracted 47 water utilities, of which ADDC (Abu Dhabi) and Timisoara (Romania) are new to the programme and EPAL (Portugal), Iasi (Romania), Scottish Water (UK), SPGE (Belgium) and Tampere (Finland) rejoined after some time of absence. Last but not least, SEDAPAL (Peru) rejoined the programme as part of an EU-funded Water Operator Partnership with Canal de Isabel II. Welcome to all!

The first stage of the exercise, the data collection, is currently in full swing and runs until 5 August followed by a process of validation before the draft reports are made available.

In the meantime, the EBC-team is preparing for the annual benchmarking workshop on 17 & 18 November in Kraków.

We wish you success with the data submission and enjoy the summertime!
